Frequently asked questions
To join CooQu as a cook, follow these steps:
Download the CooQu Cook app from your App store or Play Store .
Click ‘Get Started/Sign Up’
Choose to continue with either ‘Google’ or ‘Facebook’ or ‘Sign up with Email’ or Connect with Apple’.
Fill in the form to create your profile, choose a name for your business, and enter your name, address, service type, and operating timings. Most importantly, please read our terms and conditions and click the box to agree and accept the T&C to use CooQu platform.
Press ‘Sign Up’.
A verification code will be sent to your mobile phone by text message (SMS), please enter the code and press ‘Verify’.
‘Registration Complete’ will appear on the screen and you will be automatically taken to the ‘Add Your Bank Account’ page. Please fill in your bank details where you wish to receive payments and press ‘Save’. It is recommended that you add a copy of a bank document to confirm the bank details provided are your bank details.
Press the back button ‘<’ on the top left hand corner of the screen. This will take you to the ‘Order’ screen.
Depending on the type of service you offer, the option to add menu/experience will appear on the ‘Menu’ tab on the bottom of the screen. Please refer to service types here at <Hyper link to service types> to know more about different service options
We recommend that you write down the details and plan it on paper before you start filling in the form on CooQu Cook app."

Check if you have scheduled an Off-time in your profile
Click ‘Profile’ and then select ‘CooQu Cook Service Types’. Scroll down and check if your operating hours as entered in the CooQu Cook Timings are correct. You may amend timings and press ‘Save’ to lock in. You may check your visibility again now in the CooQu customer app.
Try restarting your device and check your profile visibility on the CooQu customer app.

CooQu welcomes anyone who has a passion for cooking and wants to earn money by sharing their delicious food. If you have confidence in your culinary abilities, CooQu will provide the platform for you to succeed.
All orders for Delivery, Pickup and Dine-in will appear on the tab ‘Order’ and all Custom orders, Experience and daily meal orders will appear on the tab ‘Special’ at the bottom of your main screen. All of the above service orders except the Custom orders would be during your hours of operation and items would be selected from the menu you would have added on your profile.
The customer would view your menu using their CooQu customer app on their mobile. They can order food and if needed, they would provide delivery or pick up instruction. They can schedule a time to receive their order/service depending on your operating hours.
You would receive the orders and instructions on the tab ‘Order’. The service type (such as Pickup, Delivery, Dine in, etc) will be highlighted and the number of orders would also be shown in brackets next to the service type.
Read the order details by clicking ‘View’ . Scroll down to ‘Accept’ the order. Or you may reject the order by clicking ‘Cancel’.
If you ‘Accept the order’ then the order would appear as ‘Pending’ and the details of order would appear.
You are to press ‘Start Preparation’. The order status would move to ‘Preparing’. Once the ordered item is ready, please press ‘Ready’.
The order status would move to ‘Ready’.
Once the customer has received the food they ordered, press ‘Confirm order pickup’.
If you ‘Cancel’ the order, a pull down menu opens where you are to choose a reason for cancelling the order. Choose the option that is most relevant to your reason for cancelling order and describe more about it in the text box provided. Once done, press ‘Submit’.
Custom Orders will appear in the ‘Special’ tab on the main screen. These orders are requests from customers where they would provide details of the food item they want a cook to prepare and choose a delivery or keep it ready for customer to pick-up. As a CooQu Cook, you will receive these orders for review. You would be able to negotiate the price to prepare and time to deliver. If the customer agrees with your offer, they will process the payment which will stay on hold with CooQu until the requested order is delivered.
Please contact CooQu admin if the above response is not satisfactory.
Currently, CooQu does not provide delivery services, Cooks are responsible for their own delivery services. Cook’s are also able to set their delivery prices within a predefined range set in the app. This is another way of making some extra income.
Note: In future, CooQu is looking to introduce a delivery partner to assist with delivery services.
You may adjust your menu from the ‘Menu’ tab that appears on the bottom of the CooQu Cooks ‘Profile’. Scroll up to view all the items offered in your menu. Once you’ve found the item that you would like to make change, press ‘Edit’ and make the change.
If you wish to delete an item, press ‘Delete’ that appears next to Edit.
Log into your CooQu Cook mobile application.
Select the ‘Profile’ tab on the bottom of your screen.
This will take you to ‘CooQu Cook Settings’. Once there, select ‘CooQu Cook Service Types’ and then select the service for which you would like to change the operating hours (such as Custom order or Experience or Delivery, etc).
Under the heading CooQu Cook Timings, all the seven days of a week would appear.
Scroll down to the specific day to make change.
Touch the drop-down arrow next to the day.
Touch the edit symbol and update the timings and then press ‘Update’.
NOTE: You can assign different menu hours for different days of the week.
If you expect to be not cooking for few days, you can go offline by advising this on the ‘Schedule an Off-Time’ on the ‘CooQu Cook Settings’.
Yes you can, if you expect not to offer food delivery anymore although you are still offering other food service types (Custom order, pick up, etc) then you can turn off ‘Delivery’ by unclicking the ‘Delivery’ icon under the ‘CooQu Cook Service Types’.
Follow the steps below to change your restaurant phone number, email address and new location.
In your CooQu Cook profile, select the ‘Profile’ icon in the bottom right corner.
Under your name, the option ‘Edit’ would appear. Press ‘Edit’ and it will take you to ‘Profile’ and ‘Location’ sub-tabs.
To change your details such as phone number, email address, FSSAI licence number, please amend the details under ‘Profile’.
To change your address, select ‘Location’. Type the new address or use the navigation map to detect your location. Then press ‘Save’.
You can also use the navigation map to point at a specific location by touching on your mobile screen. Make sure the black pin is placed at the correct address on the map and verify this by checking the address appearing on the search field. Press ‘Save ‘to update address.
In your CooQu Cook profile, select the ‘Profile’ icon in the bottom right corner.
Scroll up to ‘Bank account Details’. Click and ‘Remove’.
You will be automatically taken to another page asking for the new bank details. Please fill in the details and click ‘Save’.
You should add a photo of your passbook or bank statement confirming the details you’ve entered.
Once saved, the new details will appear. Press the back button on the top left corner ‘<’ of the screen.
As a CooQu Cook, depending on the orders you’ve completed, payments to your nominated bank account will be made weekly. The payments cannot be made more frequently due to time taken for bank transfers and payment gateway processing.
No, CooQu does not deduct any fee from the CooQu Cook. The customer ordering food from a CooQu Cook pays a small percentage of the total cost to cover CooQu platform’s admin fee.
This fee is a percentage of the cost of the food item as set by CooQu Cook. On the customer’s CooQu app, this small percentage gets added to the total cost that gets displayed on the CooQu customer’s app.
CooQu Cook are expected to consider and include any liable taxes when deciding the price for each dish/meal.
Please note, CooQu cannot deduct or charge tax from customers on behalf of their CooQu Cook. Every CooQu Cook is liable to manage their own tax matters as an individual trading party.

Yes, CooQu is liable to pay for taxes that relate to the income generated from providing the digital platform operation and admin.
Individual CooQu Cook is responsible to pay for their own tax that relates to the income they have generated by selling their food and service on CooQu platform.
Using your mobile app, you can send your query or complaint via the ‘Profile’ tab. Scroll down to ‘Help’ and choose the most appropriate option along with details of the issue. You can add screenshots and photos that are relevant with your query. Once done, press ‘Send Report’.
If you would like to provide more detailed feedback, you can click ‘Send a feedback’. Write your query in the text box and press ‘Submit’. You would receive an email confirmation to your registered email.
Alternatively, you may send your query by email to admin@cooqu.com.au
CooQu admin would contact you via phone and email at the earliest possible.
Based on past interactions with various cooks, CooQu have gathered responses for some general queries and saved them under ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ (located below ‘Send a Feedback’).
In the ‘Profile’ tab, scroll down and click ‘Settings’ and then click ‘Delete Account’. This will take you to the next page, asking for a reason. Click the most appropriate and then ‘Next’ and click ‘Delete My account Now’.
